An investor consortium from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has shown interest in investing in several sectors in Aceh. This was shared by Aceh Governor Muzakir Manaf after meeting with the Saudi envoy, Prof. Dr. Abdul Karim Bin Abdul Aziz Asishri, following the inauguration of the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Subulussalam on Saturday (15/2/2025). The consortium is particularly interested in establishing a crude palm oil (CPO) processing plant, a cooking oil factory, as well as investing in electricity energy and mineral mining in Aceh.

Governor Mualem expressed his support, noting that the investment aligns with his vision for a sustainable and independent economy in Aceh. He emphasized that such investments would create more job opportunities, help reduce unemployment, and stimulate economic growth. Additionally, Mualem welcomed the health cooperation proposal, which would also benefit the people of Aceh.
