The Provincial Government of South Kalimantan (Pemprov Kalsel), through the South Kalimantan Tourism Office (Dispar Kalsel), held the 2025 Regional Device Forum to advance the tourism and creative economy sectors in Banua. The event, opened by Head of Dispar Kalsel Muhammad Syarifuddin, was attended by representatives from various SKPD, Dispar from 13 districts/cities, and Pokdarwis in the region.
The forum focused on providing input for the preparation of the 2025-2029 South Kalimantan Tourism Office’s Strategic Plan. Syarifuddin highlighted the province's six priority tourism destinations and the local Creative Economy regulation. He also mentioned that improvements to the tourism sector, along with direct flight routes to South Kalimantan, are expected to increase tourist visits and boost the local economy. The event featured expert speakers from Bappeda Kalsel, the National Tourism Academy, and Kalsel’s Regional House of Representatives
