The Ministry of Trade (Kemendag) reported that, in January 2025, Indonesian MSMEs successfully recorded a potential transaction value of USD 5.22 million from business matching activities. The potential transactions are aimed at products that will be exported by MSMEs. This total includes both purchase transactions and memoranda of understanding (MoU).
Fajarini Puntodewi, the Director General of National Export Development at Kemendag, stated that the business matching results were promising, with a total of USD 5.22 million in potential transactions. This consists of USD 1.55 million in actual purchases and USD 3.67 million in MoUs. The purchases, amounting to USD 1.55 million, originated from Singapore for various spices, with an additional USD 2.67 million in MoUs for spices and plantation products. South Korea also contributed to the transaction potential, with MoUs totaling USD 1 million, covering products such as wood, medical equipment, processed food, agricultural products, and more. Throughout January, 72 business matching events were conducted, involving 196 MSME participants across various sectors, such as food and beverages, furniture, handicrafts, medical equipment, and spices.
