IKN Authority: Private Sector to Invest IDR 6.49 Trillion in IKN by February 2025

The Indonesian Capital Authority (OIKN) revealed that there will be private investment coming in February 2025. It is estimated that the value will reach IDR 6.49 trillion. Spokesperson for the Indonesian Capital Authority/Special Staff to the Head of OIKN for Public Communication, Troy Pantouw, explained that the investment is included in the Phase II IKN Development program which will last from 2025 to 2029. He said that the budget for the Phase II IKN development consists of the State Budget (APBN), Government and Business Entity Cooperation (KPBU) and private investment. "The budget requirement for the Phase II IKN development program is in accordance with the direction of the President, which consists of the APBN of IDR 48.8 trillion, KPBU of IDR 60.93 trillion and private investment (data that will be entered in 2025 as of February) of IDR 6.49 trillion," he said.


Troy said that the IKN development program phase II in 2025-2029 is aimed at preparing facilities and infrastructure with the target of making Nusantara the Political Capital of the Republic of Indonesia in 2028."The focus of the work by completing the judicial ecosystem and legislative ecosystem along with their supporting facilities and infrastructure," he concluded. Previously, the Deputy for Funding and Investment of OIKN, Agung Wicaksono revealed the plan for laying the first stone or groundbreaking phase 9 in IKN would reach IDR 6.5 trillion. "(Groundbreaking 9) We will start with five investors, with five different sectors and a value of more than IDR 5 trillion. Now our calculation is IDR 6.5 trillion," he said in the Indonesian Capital (IKN), East Kalimantan. He detailed the investment value that will be invested in the 9th stage groundbreaking, namely star hotels of IDR 1 trillion, then housing of IDR 3.9 trillion, then state universities of around IDR 150 billion, offices of IDR 1.4 trillion and Padang restaurants worth IDR 20 billion. Agung said, of the five investors, one of them came from Malaysia. Furthermore, he added, the plan is that the 9th stage groundbreaking of the IKN will be carried out by President Prabowo Subianto in 2025. However, his party submitted the implementation schedule to the palace.
