Syahran Bhakti, was present for the receiving of the shipment. The export value of Indonesian coffee beans to Egypt for the January-October 2024 period showed an increase of USD 100 million, or approximately IDR 1.63 trillion, compared to IDR 1.35 trillion in 2023. The largest market share of coffee beans in Egypt is held by Indonesia, at 41.45%, followed by Vietnam at 20.1%, Brazil at 9.77%, India at 9.41%, and Italy at 3.53%.

Hassan Syed Haggag, Chairman of Haggag Import Company, stated that 350 tonnes of coffee beans will be produced into ground coffee of various flavours, and 250 tonnes of green beans will be sold in the local market. The import of coffee beans is the result of a trade transaction in October 2024 at the Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI). This shipment of 600 tonnes of coffee beans follows a previous transaction of 800 tonnes from TEI 2024, which was also conducted by the Haggag company with private entrepreneurs and state-owned enterprises from Indonesia. Haggag Import Company is committed to importing 10,000 tonnes of Indonesian robusta coffee beans throughout 2025, due to the availability of export-ready products in various factories and warehouses in Sumatra and Java.
