The Indonesian Ministry of Trade held a business matching in the form of pitching Indonesian cosmetic products with the Trade Attaché (Atdag) of The Hague online on Monday 20th January 2025. This activity is an effort to identify the strengths of Indonesian cosmetic products while seeking opportunities for wider market expansion in the Netherlands. A total of five Indonesian exporters participated in this pitching activity. The exporters are producers and manufacturers in the cosmetics, perfume, skincare, essential oils, essential oils for cosmetics, and herbal plants sectors. "This activity is a commitment of the Ministry of Trade in supporting trade promotion to increase exports to the Netherlands, Especially for Indonesian micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) who want to participate in the international market.
According to the Hague Trade Attaché Annisa Hapsari, as a follow-up to the pitching stage, the Ministry of Trade will facilitate further online business matching between potential Indonesian exporters and prospective buyers in the Dutch market. Exporters can directly present their superior products to prospective business partners. Annisa also conveyed information about the In-Cosmetics 2025 Exhibition which will be held on April 8th-10th, 2025 at RAI Amsterdam. This exhibition is an international event for business actors and the cosmetic raw material manufacturing industry. The Indonesian Ministry of Trade and the Hague Trade Attaché will continue to strive to facilitate Indonesian business actors in expanding their export markets. This also includes creating new opportunities in the cosmetic raw material industry in the Dutch market. Pitching with the Hague Trade Attaché is one of the activities in the 2025 International Trade Promotion Calendar launched by Trade Ministry. In January 2025, 88 business matching activities are scheduled in 33 accredited countries. In the January-November 2024 period, total trade between Indonesia and the Netherlands reached USD 5.20 billion. In that period, Indonesia's exports were recorded at USD 4.33 billion and Indonesia's imports from the Netherlands were USD 869 million.
