The government targets Indonesia's economic growth to reach 5.2% this year and aims to hit 8% growth within five years under President Prabowo's leadership. The Minister of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), Maman Abdurrahman, is optimistic that the growth of MSMEs will play a significant role in achieving the 8% growth target set by President Prabowo Subianto. "Especially for MSME entrepreneurs, I believe that if they grow, our economy will grow across all sectors," Maman stated in an Instagram post by @kementerianumkm on Tuesday (January 21). He is confident that with sincere work, a strong commitment, and a real contribution to society, particularly MSME entrepreneurs, the 8% economic growth target is achievable.
Professor Rhenald Kasali, an economist from FEUI and founder of Rumah Perubahan, emphasized that MSMEs can become a pillar of the economy amid complex challenges. According to Rhenald, the key to the success of MSMEs lies in innovation, digitalization, and continuous collaboration with various stakeholders. "As we have witnessed from 2019 to 2021, we have overcome economic crises and a pandemic, and MSMEs have always been a support for the nation's economy. Therefore, we must ensure that these micro and small enterprises can level up through innovation and collaboration," Rhenald explained. Meanwhile, Farah Fitria Rahmawati, Director of Digital Business at Peruri, highlighted the crucial role of technology in advancing MSMEs and the creative economy. She noted that e-commerce has created new opportunities for small businesses, from popular marketplaces to social media, allowing MSMEs to reach broader markets, including internationally. Additionally, Farah shared that Peruri’s product, Peruri Shield, which provides digital signatures, digital stamps, and electronic seals, can help MSMEs streamline their administrative processes, making them faster, more transparent, and efficient.
