The Head of the Aceh Provincial Office of Culture and Tourism, who is also the Acting Mayor of Banda Aceh, Almuniza Kamal, emphasized that the establishment of the creative economy committee aims to strengthen the renewable economic sector. Almuniza explained that there are 17 subsectors within the creative economy, including game developers, architecture, interior design, music, fine arts, product design, fashion, culinary, film, animation, and video. Additionally, there are photography, visual communication design, television and radio, crafts, advertising, performing arts, publishing, and applications.
To support these subsectors, efforts are being made to enhance human resources (HR) quality through various training programs and by involving creative economy actors in national and international exhibitions or expos. Almuniza also mentioned that they have developed a roadmap book for creative economy development, which will serve as a guide to support the creation, production, and distribution of goods and services that prioritize creativity and intellectual capabilities.
