Keluarga Alumni Universitas Jember (Kauje) and Creative Economy Center (CEC) have highlighted export opportunities for the creative economy in Bojonegoro Regency, East Java, due to the region's extraordinary natural resource potential. The discussion aimed to inform creative economy actors about these opportunities, with a focus on turning Bojonegoro's resources into export-ready products. Sofan Solikin, the chairperson of the event from Kauje's Bojonegoro Regional Coordinator, emphasized that the outcomes of this discussion must be monitored until realization, as they could serve as a gateway for broader future collaborations.
Solikin noted that the prevailing perception of Indonesia as a raw material exporter should be shifted toward becoming an exporter of finished products, especially in Bojonegoro. The region's rich natural resources must be complemented with human resource development to enable creative economy actors to scale up to the export level. He mentioned the promising export potential of products such as wood-based goods, eco-print fabric, various herbal products, and dried foods in Bojonegoro, which have significant opportunities for export to Europe and Australia. The event was designed to motivate local creative economy players to rise to the next level and enter the global market. Additionally, one of the speakers, Arif Purwanto, emphasized the importance of conducting mapping and research before venturing into exports, while Adib Nurdiyanto, the head of CEC, encouraged creative economy players to actively pursue HACCP certification and laboratory testing as essential requirements for export administration.
