As the rapid development and population growth in Palangka Raya continues, a South Korean company has been aggressively investing in the region. Recently, Hyundai introduced its latest car model, the Creta, to the public. Effendi, the Branch Manager of Hyundai Palangka Raya, explained that the mass production of this new vehicle is aimed at supporting the mobility of the local population. The Creta, equipped with complete features, is designed to simplify the daily activities of people, and it is especially appealing to those who enjoy collecting luxury cars.
Additionally, in support of the Central Government's efforts to increase foreign exchange earnings, the South Korean company has invested over IDR 21.8 trillion to provide spare parts for Hyundai vehicles. "With this investment, the public will have easier access to car parts when repairs are needed. Moreover, the company has implemented a security system to prevent accidents and theft through a special app. Even when abroad, customers can start their engines remotely. If the car suffers a fatal accident and the damage exceeds 50%, it will be replaced with a new one," he added on Wednesday (15/1/2025). Meanwhile, Dedy, a financing company representative in Palangka Raya, welcomed the South Korean company's expansion into the car sales sector, noting that cars are now essential for both personal and government mobility. He hopes that foreign automotive companies will continue to innovate, with the goal of developing affordable cars for middle-lower income groups in the future to achieve greater equality in car ownership.
