The Bali Provincial Government offers investment areas outside Denpasar, Badung, Gianyar and Tabanan (Sarbagita) as an effort to reduce the gap in economic growth between regions. So far, the Sarbagita area has been an investment center, especially for investment in the tertiary sector such as the construction of hotel accommodation, restaurants and other business fields that support the Bali tourism industry. According to data from the Bali Provincial Investment and One-Stop Integrated Licensing Service (DPMPTSP), of the investment realization of IDR 28.10 trillion in 2024, IDR 14.22 trillion or around 51% was realized in Badung Regency which is the center of Bali tourism. After Badung, the second largest investment realization is Denpasar City with an investment value of IDR 5.22 trillion, then Gianyar Regency IDR 3.61 trillion, Buleleng Regency IDR 3.10 trillion, Tabanan Regency IDR 1.04 trillion. From the data, only Buleleng Regency is involved, whose investment realization is quite high outside the Sarbagita area.
To reduce this gap, the Head of the Bali Province DPMPTSP, I Wayan Sumarajaya explained that the Provincial Government offers investment potentials that can be worked on by investors outside Sarbagita to reduce the gap between regions and sectors. Investment in the tertiary sector reaches 68.33%, dominating investment in Bali, the primary sector is only 15.68%, and the secondary sector is 15.99%. The areas outside Sarbagita that are offered include Jembrana, Buleleng, Bangli, and Karangasem Regency which has investment prospects in the fisheries, creative economy sectors and also agriculture, such as mangosteen, watermelon, cavendish banana, papaya, durian, coffee and grapes. Bangli Regency's investment prospects also include livestock prospects such as free-range chickens, laying hens, cows and pigs. Banjarangkan, Klungkung, and Dawan Districts have potential investment in the creative industry. Meanwhile, the Head of the Bank Indonesia Representative Office for Bali Province, Erwin Soeriadimadja explained that to encourage quality economic growth, investment in the primary and secondary sectors must be encouraged, because it is in accordance with the national ideals.
