The Indonesia Stock Exchange (Bursa Efek Indonesia/BEI) is targeting to add 25 thousand SIDs to new investors in Jambi Province in 2025. Head of BEI Jambi Province Representative Office Rena Novita, in Jambi, Monday, said that the addition of 25 thousand consists of stocks and mutual funds. In achieving this target, BEI is collaborating with the Jambi City Government through the Regional Financial Access Acceleration Team (TPAKD). The programs carried out include investment education and literacy for ASN in the Jambi City Government. In 2025, BEI Jambi will target ASN at all levels, both sub-districts and ASN teachers. Together with OJK, BEI is ready to synergize investment education programs with TPAKD to improve public literacy.
For Jambi City, the main program of TPAKD is indeed the capital market, so we collaborate intensively, for other regions there are those whose main program is not the capital market but we still collaborate for education. In addition, BEI Jambi Province is also ready to collaborate with banks if possible to collaborate in investment education. Based on data from the Financial Services Authority (OJK) until October 2024, the number of investors in Jambi was 130,832 Single Investor Identification (SID), an increase of 14.62% (year on year/yoy). Furthermore, the number of stock transactions was recorded at IDR 1.6 trillion or an increase of 53.26% (yoy). In line with this, the value of mutual fund sales carried out by Mutual Fund Selling Agents (APERD) in Jambi Province in October was recorded at IDR 107.28 billion or an increase of 2.25% (yoy).
