One notable success is Fuguku, a local fashion brand that garnered attention by showcasing at the Coterie Show in New York City in September 2024. This achievement was made possible through participation in the BRI UMKM EXPO(RT), a program that offers strategic support, including financing, mentoring, and access to global markets. According to Amam Sukriyanto, Director of Commercial, Small and Medium Business at BRI, this event provides a unique opportunity for SMEs to meet international buyers and grow their businesses globally.
The BRI UMKM EXPO(RT) 2025 is designed to encourage more SMEs to engage in international markets by enhancing their competitiveness and opening new business opportunities. The upcoming event will feature a range of activities such as business matching, the UMKM Award, and art installations. It will display products in five categories: home decor, food and beverage, beauty and accessories, fashion, and health/wellness.
