KBRN, Kapuas Hulu: A total of 34 tons of palm kernel cake has been exported to Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia, by PT Buana Tunas Sejahtera, under the supervision of the Nanga Badau Customs Office. The export value of this palm oil derivative product reached IDR 52 million, marking a continued growth in cross-border trade in the border region. The palm kernel cake, often used as animal feed and for briquettes, has a high level of competitiveness in international markets.
Henry Imanuel Sinuraya, Head of the Nanga Badau Customs Office, stated that this export reflects ongoing efforts to boost trade activities in the area. He added that through products like palm kernel cake, Indonesia, especially the border regions, can increase its competitiveness in the global market. To support this success, Nanga Badau Customs has taken strategic actions, including intensive assistance to entrepreneurs, direct visits to plantations and factories, and export regulation education. Additionally, the Export Clinic program initiated by Nanga Badau Customs helped PT Buana Tunas Sejahtera achieve its first export. This export not only strengthens trade but also contributes positively to the nation's economy, generating IDR 6 million in export duties and IDR 13 million in palm oil fund levies. Henry concluded that the continued export of palm oil derivatives reflects the growing economic potential in the border regions.
