The Director General of National Export Development, Mardyana Listyowati, led a Focused Group Discussion on the Formulation of Export Development Policy, which was held in a hybrid format from Jakarta on Wednesday, December 11. This discussion aimed to gather insights on the practices of providing promotional facilitation abroad in support of export development and enhancing Indonesia's image globally. The session was designed to bring together stakeholders from various sectors to share experiences and strategies in boosting Indonesia's export capacity and global visibility.
In her address, Director General Mardyana emphasized that the Ministry of Trade is responsible for coordinating export development policies to improve Indonesia's global image, particularly through trade promotion activities abroad. Muhammad Suaib Sulaiman, Secretary of the Directorate General of National Export Development, further highlighted that through the integration and regulation of trade promotion procedures involving various stakeholders, Indonesia's presence in the global market could be strengthened. Representatives from ministries, agencies, and local governments presented their respective practices of trade promotion facilitation and supported the need for coordinated efforts to better showcase Indonesia on the world stage. The event was also attended by Merry Maryati, Director of Export Development for Services and Creative Products; Elisabeth Ratu Rante Allo, Head of the Industry, Trade, Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises Office of DKI Jakarta; and representatives from various ministries, agencies, and regional offices across Indonesia that focus on trade.
