PT Asuransi Allianz Life Indonesia (Allianz Life) reported that by October 2024, the company’s investment returns had surpassed IDR 1 trillion. According to Ong Le Keat, Director & Chief Financial Officer of Allianz Life Indonesia, this figure marks a 245% growth compared to the same period in the previous year. He highlighted that this positive investment performance significantly contributed to the company's overall results. Allianz Life continues to place investments in instruments aligned with the company's business strategy and objectives, including stocks, government bonds (SBN), time deposits, and corporate bonds, ensuring these investments are consistent with the needs of policyholders and the company’s investment strategy.
Ong Le Keat further explained that the company’s investment placements are made with careful consideration of the fundamentals of each asset, aimed at optimizing returns. Allianz Life provides insurance products primarily focused on protection benefits, with investment-linked products such as unit-linked and Paydi designed for long-term financial planning. While the current positive investment returns are expected to contribute to future premium income, Allianz Life remains aware of challenges such as rising geopolitical tensions, Indonesia's budget deficit, global economic slowdown, rupiah volatility, and increasing global oil prices. Despite these challenges, the company remains committed to applying a dynamic strategy and robust risk management to ensure optimal returns for its policyholders.
