This commitment was highlighted in a Joint Statement by President Biden and Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, published on the White House website on Tuesday, November 12. The statement underscores the OECD's role in advancing robust and responsible policies that drive quality economic growth. Recognizing the importance of diversified mineral supply chains for manufacturing and economic growth, Presidents Biden and Prabowo committed to developing sustainable mineral supply chains through a mutually beneficial partnership. This collaboration aims to support the global clean energy transition by upholding environmental and labor standards. The two leaders agreed to advance ongoing discussions to facilitate mineral supply chain partnerships between the U.S. and Indonesia.
