The Italian Trade Agency (ITA), in partnership with the Italian Association of Textile Machinery Manufacturers (ACIMIT), introduced the latest eco-friendly textile technology to Indonesian textile industry players. "Italian textile technology offers digital and automation solutions that enhance efficiency while reducing environmental impact," said ITA Commissioner Dr. Paolo Pinto in Solo, Central Java, on Tuesday (12/11). The technology was presented through workshops held in Solo on November 12 and in Bandung on November 14, giving Indonesian industry players the opportunity to experience these innovations firsthand. Dr. Pinto expressed hope that the new technology would foster valuable business partnerships and enrich the perspectives of local industry players in Central Java, a region with a rich history in textile and batik production.
The Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian Textile Association (API) in Central Java, Liliek Setiawan, highlighted that the workshop not only facilitated B2B meetings for technology transfer but also opened strategic collaboration opportunities to address the future challenges of the textile industry. "This technology not only accelerates production processes but also enables textile companies to remain competitive in a global market that increasingly prioritizes sustainability," he noted. Sharing a vision for a more advanced and sustainable textile industry, Liliek expressed optimism that this initiative could serve as a milestone for upgrading Indonesia's textile standards to a modern, internationally competitive level. ACIMIT President Dr. Marco Salvade emphasized that the workshop was more than a technology presentation, describing it as an open invitation to learn and collaborate towards a better future for the textile industry.
