Customs Releases First Export of Indonesian Chili Sauce Products to Asian Markets

Indonesia’s Customs (Bea Cukai) has officially facilitated the first export of 20 kilograms of various sambal products from Dapurnya Subur, with an export value of USD 114. The ceremonial export release took place at the Dapurnya Subur production house in Pakisaji District, Malang Regency, on Thursday, November 7. The exported products include a variety of sambal flavors such as baby squid sambal, shredded chicken sambal, garlic sambal, and beef lung sambal. These sambal products will be shipped to Singapore, Hong Kong, and Taiwan using expedition services.


Dwi Prasetyo Rini, the Head of Customs and Excise’s Outreach and Information Services Section in Malang, emphasized that this successful export marks the achievement of cross-ministerial and institutional collaboration to support the development of export-ready small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The export event was attended by key figures, including the Head of Customs and Excise Facilities for East Java II, the Secretary of Malang's Department of Industry and Trade, and representatives from Bank Indonesia, among other invited guests. Rini concluded that this milestone demonstrates the significant potential of Indonesian SMEs to penetrate international markets.
