BP Batam organized a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on the audit of its Land Management System (LMS) and the formulation of investment projections on 11 November 2024 at Balairungsari, Batam Center. The FGD brought together key stakeholders, including representatives from BP Batam, Universitas Indonesia's Pusilkom UI as the LMS audit consultant, and LPM UI for investment projection consultations. Participants included provincial and city government officials, local parliament members, business leaders, banking representatives, and senior BP Batam officials. Acting Head of BP Batam, Purwiyanto, emphasized the importance of this FGD as part of BP Batam’s strategy to improve performance, attract investments, and contribute to the national economic growth target of 8% under President Prabowo Subianto. To support this goal, BP Batam is implementing two concrete actions: enhancing the LMS database and refining Real Investment Data (DRI) in Batam.
Purwiyanto outlined that the investment projections program and DRI improvements aim to reflect accurate and comprehensive real investment data across Batam’s sectors, integrating data from systems like the National Industry Information System, Customs, and LKPM. Additionally, he stressed the significance of land management services as the cornerstone of Batam's investment realization efforts. Recognizing gaps in the land management system, BP Batam has partnered with Pusilkom UI to audit LMS, especially in land allocation services, based on input from stakeholders, KPK, and BPK. Muhammad Kasfu Hammi, a representative of the LMS audit consultancy team, expressed hope that this audit would offer actionable recommendations, helping BP Batam assure the public of a transparent and accountable management system.
