The IKN Authority has organized training programs for 1,000 creative economy practitioners in East Kalimantan as part of efforts to enhance creativity and create job opportunities that can stimulate the local economy. The initiative aims to develop the creative economy sector in the Nusantara Capital City (IKN) and help promote regional economic growth.
Muhsin, the Director of Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy at the IKN Authority, explained that the training would focus on enhancing the skills of local entrepreneurs. "The potential for the creative economy in IKN is immense, and therefore, guidance and training are necessary to improve their quality," he said on Saturday, November 9, 2024. The training covers a variety of areas, including culinary skills such as bread-making and barista training, as well as digital marketing and content creation. The IKN Authority will also assist in helping participants market their products. "It's not just about the training, but the follow-up is even more important," he added. In addition to boosting local economic prosperity, the training also introduces participants to regional cultural heritage, including workshops on traditional textiles like batik. The training will continue in collaboration with the Cultural Conservation Center (Balai Pelestarian Kebudayaan) Region XIV.
