BUMN, which includes PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (Persero), PT Jasa Raharja, PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero), PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia (Persero), and PT Pengembangan Pariwisata Indonesia / ITDC, has formed a collaborative synergy with the Ministry of BUMN, Bank Indonesia, and IFG Group to support the government's commitment to fostering and developing Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) across Indonesia. The "Pesona Timur Indonesia" event, scheduled for November 8-10, 2024, at Marina Plaza Hotel in Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara, and later at Sarinah, Jakarta, will serve as a platform to promote local products and tourism in Eastern Indonesia. This initiative aligns with the Gerakan Nasional Bangga Buatan Indonesia (BBI) and Bangga Berwisata di Indonesia (BBWI) movements, which aim to enhance the competitiveness of local products and boost domestic tourism. The event features local crafts, culinary highlights, and a special focus on coffee, an important commodity for the region. Symbolically inaugurated with a coffee roasting ceremony, the event emphasizes the potential of Eastern Indonesia as a destination for tourism, culture, and local products.
The Pesona Timur Indonesia Bazaar is designed to empower local communities by showcasing the unique potential of villages that have developed independently. One of the event's key themes is the close connection between local villages and coffee, with workshops on Latte Art offering a creative way to appreciate this product. Additionally, participants will receive training and mentorship through the PaDi UMKM Marketplace and the Go Online program, facilitated by the BUMN Houses in PLN Ende, PLN Bajawa, and Labuan Bajo. The event also features performances by Sanggar Seni Tate Kind Art and a Fashion Show with ethnic weaving, sponsored by Bank Indonesia, all highlighting the cultural richness of Eastern Indonesia. Through this collaboration, the event seeks to support the growth of local businesses, elevate the tourism sector, and foster economic development across Eastern Indonesia.
