Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation (aT) offers dedicated support to Indonesian importers of Korean food products, encompassing customs consultation, labeling localization, subsidies for Indonesia’s BPOM food product registration, and pre-registration for Korean halal certification. This program targets foreign importers of Korean food products, aiming to streamline localization and customs processes across various countries. Services include guidance on customs, legal matters, import duties, labeling and packaging adjustments, and support for registration and import inspections. Importers can access tailored consultations and assistance, with subsidies covering up to 80% and annual support capped at KRW 200 million per company.
Lee Seung Hoon, Chief Representative of the Korea Agro-Trade Center (aT Center) Jakarta, highlighted that the initiative is expected to enhance the global competitiveness of Korean food products and significantly reduce localization costs for foreign importers. “We invite interested importers to participate,” he stated. The program particularly focuses on strengthening the adaptability of Korean food products in local markets, in line with Indonesia’s halal certification requirements, offering additional subsidies for SIHALAL registration costs for Korean halal certification through KMF and KHA.
