The Minister of Trade, Budi Santoso, has launched the 400,000th container of processed food products produced by PT Mayora Indah Tbk. for export to 15 countries in Africa, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, South Asia, and other regions, valued at USD 1 million or approximately IDR 15.7 billion. The export release took place today, Tuesday, November 5, in Cikupa, Tangerang, Banten. Minister Budi expressed appreciation for the consistency of exporters in sending Indonesian products abroad. Moreover, this export targets markets in non-traditional export destinations, in line with the Ministry of Trade's policy to expand export markets for Indonesian products.
Minister Budi emphasized that the ability to enhance the competitiveness of products is a key factor in dominating both domestic and international markets. He reminded that the size of the domestic market should serve as motivation for local products to dominate the local market. The Ministry of Trade continues to support domestic businesses in improving their competitiveness. In addition, the Ministry is consistently working to safeguard the domestic market through existing trade instruments.
