The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf) is maximizing its 2024 marketing programs to achieve set targets during its transition into two entities: the Ministry of Tourism (KemenPar) and the Ministry of Creative Economy (Kemenkraf). According to Deputy for Marketing Ni Made Ayu Marthini, this transition will not hinder their efforts. Data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) indicates that international tourist visits from January to August 2024 reached 9.09 million, aiming for a total of 14.3 million by the end of the year. To boost numbers in the last months of 2024, Kemenparekraf will participate in the World Travel Market (WTM) in London and conduct marketing programs in Canada, Australia, China, and Southeast Asia, along with promoting cross-border tourism in Batam and Bintan.
For domestic tourism, the Ministry will engage in promotional activities in collaboration with various partners, including regional governments and industry stakeholders. Programs such as the Di Indonesia Aja Travel Fair and marketing for tourist villages like Beti Dewi and Senandung Dewi, as well as tour packages like the 3B (Banyuwangi, West Bali, North Bali), will be emphasized. Made hopes these collaborative efforts will attract 100 million domestic tourists by the end of 2024.
