The Banten Provincial Government, through the Investment and One-Stop Integrated Service Agency (DPMPTSP) and Bank Indonesia, hosted the "Banten Investment Forum 2024" in Gading Serpong, Tangerang. The forum highlighted various investment opportunities in the region, including the management of Taman Hutan Raya (Tahura) in Pandeglang, Banten International Stadium (BIS) in Serang, and the Green Industrial Zone in Lebak. Other key projects include the B3 Waste Management Industrial Zone, KEK Tanjung Lesung, PSN PIK, and opportunities in MSMEs. Virgojanti, Head of Banten DPMPTSP, emphasized the importance of collaboration between stakeholders to create a conducive investment climate. She noted that investment realization is impossible without cooperation.
In addition to regional leaders and investors, the forum was attended by Nurul Ichwan, Deputy for Investment Promotion of the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/BKPM, and Ameriza Ma'ruf Moesa, Head of Bank Indonesia’s Banten Office. The event also featured the handover of business identification numbers (NIB) to MSMEs and "one-on-one" investor discussions on potential projects. An MoU was signed between large enterprises and MSMEs to foster business partnerships. Acting Governor of Banten, Al Muktabar, stressed that investment plays a critical role in economic development, job creation, and poverty alleviation. It concludes that the event fosters synergy among the central government, local governments, businesses, and society to enhance Banten’s investment climate.
