Customs authorities (Bea Cukai), through their vertical units, are intensifying efforts to support small and medium-sized industries (IKM) by empowering micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in a structured and standardized manner with the Export Clinic program. The Head of the Subdirectorate of Public Relations and Education at Bea Cukai, Budi Prasetiyo, stated that the Export Clinic serves as a communication platform for empowering export-oriented MSMEs under their guidance. The program focuses on providing training and assistance on export business processes, including helping MSMEs access foreign markets.
In addition to holding independent workshops, Bea Cukai collaborates with various institutions. For instance, Bea Cukai Pangkal-Pinang recently participated in a talk show and exhibition held by Rumah BUMN Bangka Belitung, while Bea Cukai Jakarta supported new exporters through the Coaching Programs for New Exporters (CPNE) by the Indonesia Eximbank. Bea Cukai Malang facilitated direct meetings between PT MBA Workshop Indonesia, a fiberglass body manufacturing MSME, and potential buyers from the U.S. The aim is to boost the export potential of local MSMEs, thereby increasing their contribution to the national economy.
