The Ministry of Industry remains committed to supporting the growth of small and medium industries (IKM) by expanding market access and collaborating with various stakeholders. One strategic effort by the Ministry is facilitating IKM participation in national and international exhibitions, including the Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI), the largest trade exhibition in Southeast Asia, which attracts potential buyers from various countries. In the 39th edition of TEI, the Ministry facilitated 31 IKMs from diverse sectors, showcasing products such as food and beverages, home living, agriculture, manufacturing, fashion, and services.
Director General of IKMA, Reni Yanita, emphasized the importance of these exhibitions in fostering sustainable relationships between quality product producers and international markets. The selected IKMs have undergone rigorous training and curation, ensuring they are capable and ready for export. The event, held from October 9-12, 2024, at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) – BSD City, not only features exhibitions but also includes international seminars, business matching, and business consultations, providing a significant opportunity for IKMs to expand their networks, gain product inspiration, and explore export markets, with the goal of enhancing their income and advancing to the international level.
