Investment realization in Jakarta for the third quarter of 2024 reached IDR 71.35 trillion, the highest in Indonesia, according to data from the Ministry of Investment/BKPM. The capital city secured the top spot nationally with a foreign direct investment (FDI) realization of USD 2.72 billion (IDR 40.77 trillion), leading among all provinces. Domestic investment (PMDN) also topped the list at IDR 30.58 trillion, highlighting Jakarta’s dominance in both FDI and domestic sectors.
For the January-September 2024 period, Jakarta maintained its lead, recording a total investment of IDR 191.78 trillion. FDI amounted to USD 6.12 billion (IDR 91.86 trillion), while domestic investment hit IDR 99.92 trillion. According to Benni Aguscandra, Head of the Jakarta Investment and One-Stop Integrated Service Office (DPMPTSP), these results reflect efforts to enhance public services and attract both domestic and international investors. Strategic initiatives, including the development of a long-term Investment Master Plan (2025-2045) and promotion via the Jakarta Investment Festival (JIF), have also contributed to Jakarta's strong investment performance.
