The Maluku Provincial Trade Office, through the Export Improvement Team, is providing assistance and support for new exporters. This initiative is led by the Head of the Foreign Trade Division, Zainab Usemahu, along with the Head of the PBP2HP Division of the Maluku Marine and Fisheries Office, Roy Iwamoni; the Head of Fish Health Monitoring and Quality Control, Hibban Suneth; and the Head of the Ambon Customs Office, Irfan Mahfudz. They conducted assistance for the new exporter, PT. Celebes Ocean Fisheries, which plans to carry out its first export of octopus to Mexico from October 12 to 16, 2024. The team also visited PT. Jayawi Ambon International to provide support for their preparation of the first frozen tuna export, scheduled for late 2024 to Vietnam. During the meeting, the manager of PT. Jayawi Ambon International, Ikhsan Tuharea, discussed their preparations and requested assistance from the Export Improvement Team in document preparation to facilitate the planned export activities. Zainab Usemahu emphasised that this assistance aims to ensure that exporters and potential exporters in Maluku are better prepared and more confident in facing the international market. "We continue to encourage the growth of new exporters and promote local products with export potential to the global stage, hoping to boost the economy of the Maluku region," she stated.
