The Ministry of Trade officially inaugurated the 39th Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) on Wednesday, October 9, 2024. The Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI) revealed growing interest from international buyers in one of their top products. TEI Chairman, Imandio Wicaksono, noted significant interest from Indian buyers towards several exhibitors from HIPMI members. In 2023, the majority of buyers for HIPMI's flagship products were from India, China, and Pakistan. "Last night, during the loading process, several buyers from India exchanged information with our exhibitors," Wicaksono stated at ICE BSD, Tangerang, on Wednesday (9/10/2024). He highlighted the particular interest in luwak coffee, Indonesia's unique coffee.
Currently, there are 24 exhibitors from HIPMI member businesses, representing 38 provinces across Indonesia. Wicaksono added that the selected HIPMI member products at this year's TEI underwent a thorough curation process. "We are also pursuing business matching facilitated by the Ministry of Trade during the TEI," he explained. A total of 1,460 exhibitors are set to participate in the largest export-oriented product exhibition in Indonesia, surpassing the Ministry's target of 1,000 participants.
