The Custom Office in Parepare Releases Export of 137.5 Tons of Seaweed Flour to China

Bea Cukai Parepare supervised the export of 137,500 kilograms of seaweed flour, also known as carrageenan, by PT Biota Laut Ganggang (PLG) on Friday, October 4. This export activity generated a total foreign exchange value of IDR 10,741,841,786. Head of Bea Cukai Parepare, Dawny Marbagio, stated that the entire export commodity was packed into six containers destined for China.  “This success is largely due to the role of Bea Cukai Parepare as a primary partner, actively providing assistance and optimal services to exporters,” Dawny remarked.

PT BLG, an exporter utilizing bonded zone facilities under Bea Cukai Parepare's supervision, is located in Pinrang Regency, South Sulawesi Province, and operates in the seaweed industry. Dawny emphasized Bea Cukai Parepare's commitment to serving the community, ensuring the continuous operation of industries to keep the economy moving, while maintaining their supervisory role to protect society from the entry of hazardous and illegal goods.
