Ambassador to Bulgaria, Albania, and North Macedonia, Iwan Bogananta, expressed confidence that Indonesian products would flood the European market in the next five years. "With the joint venture investments and trade collaborations I initiated since 2022, I believe Indonesian products will see significant growth in Europe within the next five years," said Ambassador Iwan during the 2024 Indonesia Europe Business Forum (IEBF) organized by the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Jakarta on Monday, 7 October. Since his appointment, Ambassador Iwan has worked tirelessly to enhance Bulgaria's trade and investment relations with Indonesia, emphasizing the importance of strengthening European trust in business and investment opportunities with Indonesia.
Bulgarian Ambassador to Indonesia, Tanya Dimitrova, also attended the IEBF and praised Indonesia's efforts, led by Ambassador Iwan, for positioning Bulgaria as a trusted trade and investment partner. She expressed hope for Bulgarian products to enter the Indonesian market. During the event, both ambassadors agreed to create a role model to further boost bilateral trade and investment. Deputy Foreign Minister Pahala Nugraha Mansuri highlighted Europe’s total investment in Indonesia, which has reached USD 3 billion (approximately IDR 47 trillion). Additionally, a trade agreement was signed between Indonesian company PT. Wahana Citra Nabati and Bulgaria's PIC.Co Ltd., targeting a trade value of USD 10 million (around IDR 157 billion), with plans for Indonesian medical products to enter the Bulgarian market valued at USD 3 million (about IDR 47 billion).
