Minister of Public Works and Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono, who also serves as the Acting Head of the IKN Authority, announced that investments in the Nusantara Capital (IKN) in East Kalimantan have reached IDR 58.4 trillion. This amount has been accumulated from a total of eight groundbreaking events held over the past year. "The seventh one was IDR 56 trillion, right? Now, with the eighth, it has reached IDR 58.4 trillion," Basuki stated in the IKN area on Sunday (October 6, 2024).

Basuki mentioned that there are plans for another series of groundbreaking events next week, although the plans are not yet final. He refrained from providing details about the projects and the amount of investment but confirmed that President Joko Widodo will inaugurate several company projects. Basuki revealed that on October 10 or 11, 2024, President Jokowi plans to inaugurate the PSSI Training Center (TC) in IKN and that there may be additional groundbreaking events for private sector projects during this occasion.
