The Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, in collaboration with PT Surveyor Indonesia, is refining the implementation of the National Dashboard for export commodities as part of the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR). This significant meeting included key figures such as Eddy Abdurrachman, the President Director of the Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (BPDPKS), Kabul Widjajanto, the Acting Director of Partnerships at BPDPKS, Rizal A. Lukman, Chairman of the Council of Palm Oil Producing Countries (CPOPC), and Sandry Pasambuna, President Director of PT Surveyor Indonesia. During the meeting, concrete steps were discussed to prepare Indonesian export products to meet the non-deforestation and traceability criteria required by the EU. Major commodities such as coffee, timber, rubber, cocoa, meat, soybeans, and palm oil are the primary focus in adapting to the EUDR regulations.
Eddy Abdurrachman emphasized Indonesia's commitment to meeting international standards while also safeguarding national interests, stating, "We are ready to adapt to the EUDR while maintaining Indonesia's strategic interests." Indonesia is preparing the National Dashboard, which will serve as a communication bridge between Indonesia and the EU regarding EUDR regulations. PT Surveyor Indonesia has been appointed as the operator of the National Dashboard, a designation that will be formalized through Presidential Regulation. Sandry Pasambuna expressed PT Surveyor Indonesia's readiness to take on this significant responsibility, assuring that they are committed to ensuring transparency and compliance with the EUDR to support the competitiveness of Indonesian products in the global market. This appointment aligns with Government Regulation No. 52 of 2023, amending Government Regulation No. 26 of 2021, and Law No. 59/2004 on the National Long-Term Development Plan 2025-2045.
