Simalungun Regent Radiapoh Hasiholan Sinaga SH MH officially launched the first export of fresh ginger from Simalungun to Dubai on Monday (23/09/2024) at the Sirpang Dalig Raya Ginger Warehouse, Pematang Raya District, Simalungun Regency. Ginger entrepreneur Darwis Purba expressed gratitude to the Regent for his presence and hoped that this export would be sustainable. "We pray that you will continue to lead Simalungun Regency," he said. In his speech, Regent Radiapoh expressed appreciation to PT Daidan Agro Indonesia for introducing Simalungun ginger to the international market. "This is the first export of fresh ginger from Simalungun to Dubai, and it is an extraordinary breakthrough. We hope this activity will improve the economy of Dalig Raya and Simalungun residents. We also hope this is not a one-time event and that other agricultural products can also be exported," said the Regent. Diki, representing the exporter, stated that they purchase fresh ginger from farmers at Rp 20,000 per kilogram, ready for export. Diki and his colleague, Dewi, mentioned that the ginger from Tanoh Haboron Do Bona is of the highest quality.
