Diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Vietnam are witnessing positive advancements, particularly in the fisheries and aquaculture sectors. In a recent official meeting, HRM Khalilur R Abdullah Sahlawiy, an Indonesian entrepreneur engaged in lobster farming in Khan Hoa and Phu Yen provinces of Vietnam, introduced his business partners to the Indonesian Ambassador to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. Ambassador Denny Abdi, often regarded as a “parent” to Indonesian citizens abroad, expressed his unwavering support for Khalilur’s endeavors. “I fully endorse Mr. Khalilur’s business in Vietnam. During the visit of Indonesia's elected President last week to Vietnam, I emphasized that fisheries and aquaculture are key priorities in our economic cooperation,” stated Denny Abdi, the Indonesian Ambassador in Hanoi.
Khalilur and his seven Vietnamese business colleagues expressed their gratitude for this support. Ambassador Denny highlighted the significance of legal and mutually beneficial business practices for both nations, aligning with the spirit of bilateral economic collaboration. With this endorsement, Khalilur articulated his pride in the Ambassador's pivotal role in enhancing economic relations between the two countries. “I am happy and proud that the Republic of Indonesia has an intelligent and idealistic Ambassador. This instills confidence that our business relations with Vietnam will continue to strengthen and be advantageous for both countries,” Khalilur remarked on Monday (23/09/2024). This backing from Indonesia's representatives abroad marks a crucial step in fortifying diplomatic and economic relations between Indonesia and Vietnam, especially in the fisheries sector, which remains a primary focus of their collaboration.
