The West Java Provincial Government is preparing for the West Java Investment Summit (WJIS), scheduled for 19 September 2024. During the event, 210 investment projects will be presented to potential investors. According to Nining Yuliastiani, Head of the West Java Investment and One-Stop Services Agency (DPMPTSP), 170 of these projects represent attractive investment opportunities, while 40 are classified as "ready to offer." The summit, themed "Unleashing West Java Investment: Catalyst for Growth, Think Investment! Think West Java," will feature project expos, exhibition halls, and one-on-one meetings. These sessions aim to provide in-depth understanding of West Java's potential investments, allowing investors to make informed decisions. Additionally, a panel discussion will address human resource competencies necessary for supporting investor convenience, with a focus on aligning education and training programs with technological advancements.
The WJIS 2024 exhibition will showcase 23 key investment opportunities in strategic sectors. Projects include the development of clean water supply systems for communities and industries, renewable energy initiatives, and new industrial zones to attract high-tech investments. Additionally, downstream industry projects focusing on local agricultural processing and agroindustry integration with a circular economy concept will highlight sustainable economic growth and food security. Nining is optimistic that the collaboration between the West Java Provincial Government and Bank Indonesia will positively impact investment in the region. WJIS 2024 is expected to serve as a strategic platform for fostering cooperation and innovation, accelerating economic growth in West Java. The event will take place at the Trans Convention Hall, Bandung.
