At the Indonesia International Sustainability Forum (IISF) 2024, President Joko Widodo emphasized the importance of global collaboration in addressing climate change. He stated that climate change issues cannot be resolved with an economic approach that prioritizes individual interests. According to the President, green economy is not just about environmental protection but also about creating sustainable well-being for communities. In line with this commitment, Indonesia aims to significantly contribute to achieving net zero emissions through various green energy potentials. To support this, the National Standardization Agency (BSN) will host the National Quality Month (BMN) with the theme "Standardization for Sustainable Economic Transformation." A key event is the SNI Expo 2024, scheduled for November 20-21, 2024, at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC).
The SNI Expo 2024 will be the largest exhibition of products with Indonesian National Standards (SNI) in Indonesia. The event will feature various industries and organizations that have implemented SNI, including product goods, services, systems, production processes, and personnel. Participants will range from large to small-scale enterprises, state-owned enterprises (BUMN), micro, small, and medium enterprises (UMKM), government institutions supporting UMKM, and BSN partners. The expo aims to promote high-quality products meeting SNI standards, provide consultations and share experiences about SNI, and conduct benchmarking of companies that have successfully implemented SNI. Additionally, it will serve as a platform for business matching between producers and potential buyers, enhancing transaction activities among participants and visitors.
