At the 2024 Korea International Furniture and Interior Fair (Kofurn), Indonesian furniture showcased a significant potential transaction value of USD 2.27 million or approximately IDR 35.01 billion. The event took place from August 29 to September 1, 2024, at the Kintex Convention Center in Ilsan, South Korea. This participation was facilitated by a collaboration between the Ministry of Trade through the Indonesian Trade Promotion Center (ITPC) Busan, the Trade Attaché in Seoul, the Indonesian Embassy in Seoul, and the Indonesian Furniture and Handicraft Association (Asmindo). The potential transaction value was derived from business matching and the interest of visiting business entities at the Indonesian Pavilion. Additionally, it included direct sales of samples brought by Indonesian exporters worth KRW 20 million. The Indonesian Pavilion featured products such as rattan and wood chairs, as well as interior items like tables, dining sets, and cabinets. These eco-friendly products, particularly minimalist rattan items, were highly favored by Korean consumers. Visitors to the Indonesian Pavilion included representatives from e-commerce companies like LotteCo., Ltd., and major retail importers. The total non-oil trade between Indonesia and South Korea in 2023 reached USD 18.17 billion, with Indonesia's non-oil exports to South Korea valued at USD 8.60 billion and imports from South Korea valued at USD 9.57 billion. The non-oil trade between the two countries has seen a 12.14% increase over the past five years (2019-2023), with Indonesian exports to South Korea increasing by 14.21% over the same period
