Deputy Minister of Trade Jerry Sambuaga praised the first and largest permanent children's toy exhibition in Indonesia, ‘Indonesia Toys Paradise,’ held in Surabaya. The event is expected to foster healthy competition between local Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the toy sector and foreign products.Sambuaga highlighted that MSMEs in Indonesia number approximately 65 million, contributing 60.51% of the national Gross Domestic Product (GDP), equivalent to IDR 9,580 trillion. He emphasized that the exhibition not only showcases the size and volume of local products but also signals the government's readiness to facilitate development as long as it adheres to legal standards. Sambuaga hopes this initiative will continue to progress and expand in future levels. Hardy Pangdani, CEO of Tritunggal Abadi Jaya Indonesia (TAJI), noted that the children's toy industry in Indonesia is progressing well. He expressed hope that such exhibitions will support domestic industries and create more jobs, as the toy industry is labor-intensive. Pangdani also mentioned that ‘Indonesia Toys Paradise’ is built on four key pillars: collaboration between industry and business, government, academia, media, and legal regulations.
