On Thursday, 29 August, the Secretary of the Directorate General of National Export Development, Muhammad Suaib Sulaiman, inaugurated a hybrid Forum on the Implementation of Cooperation with Foreign Export Institutions and Partners in Makassar, South Sulawesi. The event was attended by approximately 50 export-oriented SMEs from South Sulawesi Province and its surroundings, including those fostered by the Provincial Industry and Trade Office, partner organizations, and members of Inaexport. Acting Head of the Provincial Industry and Trade Office, Since Erna Lamba, also delivered remarks during the event. Suaib emphasized that the forum embodies the collaborative efforts between the Directorate General of National Export Development and strategic partners, aiming to create a robust ecosystem to enhance the capacity and competitiveness of export SMEs in the region.
The forum featured presentations from key speakers, including representatives from the Indonesia Eximbank, PT Bank BNI, the Export Center Makassar, the Indonesian Trade Promotion Center Osaka, and the Directorate of Export Development for Services and Creative Products. A one-on-one consultation session was also held, providing in-depth information on available facilities that entrepreneurs can utilize to grow their businesses and improve competitiveness. In addition to the forum, the Secretary of the Directorate General conducted a visit to selected businesses in South Sulawesi, including the cocoa exporter PT Papandayan Cocoa Industri, to observe their operations firsthand and engage in intensive discussions with business operators.
