A significant milestone in Indonesia's kratom export industry was achieved at Hotel Ashley Jakarta, where the Persada Akmil 92 Foundation, Makmur Agro Satwa Group, and PT Indo Global Empire signed an innovative cooperation agreement. This collaboration aims to enhance the quality and quantity of kratom production for export, establishing a robust framework for sustainable growth in the sector. The Persada Akmil 92 Foundation will oversee sustainable practices in the kratom industry, while Makmur Agro Satwa Group, as the integrator, will facilitate post-harvest cultivation guidance and provide farmers with agricultural facilities through CSR programs. PT Indo Global Empire will act as the buyer, ensuring that the kratom products reach the global market optimally. “This collaboration reflects our commitment to sustainable quality and quantity in the kratom industry,” said Major General Satrijo Pinandojo, Chairman of the Persada Akmil 92 Foundation, on Wednesday, 28 August 2024.
He emphasized the importance of setting export standards that meet international demand while supporting local farmers and enhancing the welfare of all involved parties. Anne Sri Arti, a representative of Makmur Agro Satwa Group, added that by leveraging resources and combining expertise, the partnership aims to improve production efficiency, product quality, and supply chain stability, making Indonesian kratom a viable and competitive product on the global stage. She also highlighted plans to integrate the kratom industry through technological optimization, marking a new phase of development under this cooperation.
