Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, emphasized that the creative economy sector will be a key pillar of Indonesia's future economy, with young entrepreneurs playing a crucial role as catalysts. During the Creative Circle Connection event held at Urban Forest Cipete in Jakarta, Sandiaga highlighted that the added value of Indonesia's creative economy currently reaches IDR1.4 trillion, placing it among the top three contributors to the creative economy globally, alongside the United States with Hollywood and South Korea with K-Pop and K-Drama. Sandiaga is optimistic that Indonesia can rise to the top spot in this sector if the younger generation continues to actively engage in the development of the creative economy. To support this growth, Sandiaga stressed the importance of authenticity, relevance, and the appeal of content produced by creative economy products. He stated that "content is king, packaging is queen," meaning that innovation, adaptation, and collaboration are key to building a strong creative economy.
Creative Circle Connection serves as a new collaborative platform connecting creative entrepreneurs with BPD HIPMI Jaya and Minutes of Manager, who act as bridges between the business and professional worlds. The inaugural event of Creative Circle Connection featured a variety of comprehensive and inspiring activities, including panel discussions with experts in their fields, a creative market, a business expo, and entertainment. The first session of the event, also attended by Sandiaga, focused on innovations in media and creative content production, with participation from HIPMI Jaya Chairman, Sona Maesana, and Lokaholik Founder, Josua Simanjuntak. With full support from BPD HIPMI Jaya and strategic collaboration with Minutes of Manager, this event aims to create new business opportunities and strengthen Indonesia's creative economy ecosystem by fostering collaboration between entrepreneurs and professionals.
