Bea Cukai Teluk Bayur and Bea Cukai Probolinggo are actively supporting the advancement of exports for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) in their respective regions. They are encouraging UMKM entrepreneurs to understand export facilities and procedures while optimizing the Export Clinic program provided by Bea Cukai. In Sawahlunto, Bea Cukai Teluk Bayur participated as a speaker in the IKM/UMKM Export Training organized by the local government on July 30, 2024. The event, attended by IKM/UMKM business owners from Sawahlunto, focused on introducing export processes and the Export Clinic Team from Bea Cukai Teluk Bayur. Encep Dudi Ginanjar, Head of the Public Relations and Education Subdirectorate of Bea Cukai, explained that the Export Clinic Team's role is to provide support, education, and assistance to UMKM. He emphasized that the export process involves not just shipping goods out of Indonesia but also navigating the regulations and requirements of the destination country. UMKM in the Teluk Bayur area in need of assistance are encouraged to visit the Bea Cukai office or contact them directly.
Meanwhile, in East Java, Bea Cukai Probolinggo and its UMKM partners participated in the UMKM Introduction Forum organized by the Directorate of Customs Facilities on August 8, 2024. The event included several UMKM such as CV Putri Dua Sholehah, which specializes in onion processing, PT Sumber Pangan Dunia for sambal processing, CV Shaany Inovasi Berkah for collagen powder from fish scales, and Rizza Bordir in textiles and embroidery. Encep highlighted that this forum aims to foster closer relationships between the UMKM supported by Bea Cukai Probolinggo and the Directorate of Customs Facilities, which oversees UMKM empowerment programs at Bea Cukai.
