PT Perusahaan Perdagangan Indonesia (PPI), part of ID Food, has recently exported 26 tons of robusta green bean coffee from Malang to Egypt. This initiative, which will see the coffee shipped from Tanjung Perak Port in Surabaya on August 14, 2024, is part of a strategic effort to expand Indonesia's coffee market in Egypt. PPI partnered with agricultural startups Agronesian and PT Narwastu Mazmur Gelora, highlighting the importance of collaboration in supporting local farmers and enhancing the marketability of Indonesian coffee internationally.
Throughout 2024, PPI has already exported 65.6 tons of coffee to Egypt, showcasing the strengthening trade ties between the two nations. This effort not only aims to expand market reach but also to uplift the economic conditions of Indonesian coffee farmers, reflecting PPI’s commitment to advancing the agricultural sector. In conclusion, PPI's strategic export initiatives, supported by modern agricultural practices and strong partnerships, are paving the way for greater international market access for Indonesian coffee. This not only strengthens the nation’s coffee trade but also contributes significantly to the economic welfare of local farmers, demonstrating the positive impact of such collaborations on Indonesia's agricultural development.
