Investment Made Easier with Detailed Spatial Plans in IKN Area

The Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs announced that the Ibu Kota Nusantara (IKN) area has fulfilled nine Detailed Spatial Plans (RDTR). Wahyu Utomo, Special Staff for Regional Development Acceleration, Infrastructure Development, and Investment, expressed confidence that these RDTRs would attract investors to the IKN area due to the clear status and zoning of the region. "With nine RDTRs in place, we hope that investment will become easier. The RDTRs clearly map out the purpose of each area," Wahyu stated during an online discussion at the Forum Merdeka Barat 9, themed "One Map, One Data for One Indonesia," held in Jakarta on 5 August 2024.

Wahyu emphasized that these plans not only signify the growth of IKN as Indonesia's future administrative capital but also provide clear guidelines for investors to determine suitable investment locations. "The clarity of locations allows investors to decide on their preferred sectors, which are already mapped out in the RDTRs," he added. The presence of these detailed plans is expected to streamline investment processes, providing a structured and well-defined framework for future development in the IKN area. This initiative aligns with the government's broader strategy to promote and facilitate investment in the new capital, ensuring sustainable and organized growth.
