Acting Governor of East Java, Adhy Karyono, inaugurated the dispatch of five trucks loaded with East Java export products at the 2024 Export Festival themed "Igniting the Spirit of Collaboration and Downstreaming Export Products," held at the Shangri-La Hotel in Surabaya on Wednesday (7/8). These trucks carried premium products from East Java, including those from the industrial sector, export villages, and rural enterprises (Bumdesma), with a total value of IDR 1.3 billion. Adhy emphasized the importance of these exports as a gateway to higher achievements, especially highlighting the success of export villages which, following guidance and development, are now capable of direct exports with their unique products. The exported items include spiced chocolate, rattan crafts, rice husk charcoal, orchids, and richwell biscuits. Adhy noted that the festival was made possible through the collaboration and synergy of various stakeholders, including the East Java Provincial Government, the Ministry of Finance's export financing department, and several partners in the Industry and Trade Department. During the event, Adhy also inaugurated 72 new export villages in East Java, marked by a button-pressing ceremony alongside the Director of Customs Facilities, Padmoyo Tri Wikanto, the Head of Regional Office III of the Indonesian Export Financing Agency (LPEI), Ahmad Bambang Bintoro, and other key officials. This program, in collaboration with LPEI, has increased the total number of export villages in East Java to 221. Adhy highlighted the ongoing efforts to facilitate exporters and MSMEs, aligning with the region's robust economic growth and rising export values, indicating a positive trade balance performance.
Additionally, Adhy awarded export-oriented village accolades to Bumdesa Singosari Lkd in Malang and Sanggrila Fish Indonesia in Blitar. The award for Export MSME Guiding Institutions was given to the Customs Supervision and Service Office in Gresik, while Exxon Mobil Cepu Limited received the award for Export MSME Supporting Company. Ahmad Bambang Bintoro underscored the critical role of collaboration in strengthening the export ecosystem, particularly government support for businesses of all sizes, from small enterprises to cooperatives.
