Indonesian Minister of Trade, Zulkifli Hasan, launched the first export of processed coconut products to four countries: the Netherlands, Australia, China, and Tanzania. The export ceremony took place at PT Sari Segar Husada in Katibung, South Lampung Regency, Lampung. Zulkifli Hasan highlighted that the exported coconut products, including coconut milk, desiccated coconut, and coconut water, are valued at IDR 25.3 billion. He expressed pride in how coconut can be processed into various products like dry flour, coconut milk, coconut water, nata de coco, and activated carbon from coconut shells.
Zulkifli Hasan emphasized that Lampung's natural resources, such as coconut, coffee, cocoa, pepper, and cloves, have significant potential if managed well. He hopes that coconut farmers will receive training to improve their planting techniques and yield better harvests. This initiative aims to enhance the quality and marketability of Lampung's agricultural products, boosting both local economies and Indonesia's export capabilities.
