Minister of Trade Zulkifli Hasan reported that Indonesia's cosmetic and skincare export performance has shown consistent year-on-year growth. "The trend of Indonesia's cosmetic exports to the world has been quite positive, at 8.07% over the last five years (2019-2023)," he explained while opening the Indo Beauty Expo 2024 on Wednesday, July 31, 2024. According to Zulhas, the positive performance of Indonesia's cosmetic and skincare exports continued in the January-May 2024 period, with a growth of 8.25% compared to the previous year. "The global market demand for cosmetic and skincare products remains promising, with a positive trend of 3.68%," he stated. "Revenue from cosmetic and skincare products is also projected to grow by 18.91% over the next five years (2024-2028)," Zulhas added.
Responding to this, CEO of Krista Exhibition Daud D. Salim explained that the Indo Beauty Expo 2024 will feature a total of 170 companies, including over 30 domestic startups or local companies. Daud added that the Indo Beauty Expo has increasingly gained the trust of the beauty industry players to showcase products, technology, and beauty care services from beauty industry companies from more than 12 countries. "These countries include New Zealand, UAE, China, South Korea, the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, India, Indonesia, and Taiwan," he explained. The Indo Beauty Expo 2024 is open to beauty business practitioners, those interested in entering the beauty sector, and the general public. The exhibition is held from Wednesday to Friday, from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM WIB, at the Jakarta International Expo (JIEXPO), Kemayoran, Jakarta. Visitors under the age of 14 are not permitted to enter the exhibition area.
